Hilliard is known for its attraction and community events that include the Old Hilliardfest, Art & Street Fair and the Annual Franklin County Fair. The residents of Hilliard appreciate the short commute to downtown Columbus, aquatic centers and the Heritage Rail-Trail.

The Heritage Rail Trail is a smooth, flat, 6.1-mile trail and is parallel to a four-mile horse trail. The equestrian corridor starts at Hayden Run Road and continues northwest to the Cemetery Pike trailhead. You can choose to walk, bike or inline skate at the start of the trail. You can start at the trailhead in Downtown Hilliard on Main Street where you can also find several shops and dining.

The City of Hilliard hosts “Summer in the City”. The list of events includes everything from fireworks, concerts and outdoor movies:
